น้ำมันคริลล์ (Krill Oil) คือน้ำมันที่สกัดได้จากสัตว์ทะเลขนาดจิ๋วในกลุ่มเดียวกับกุ้งขนาดเล็ก (Crustaceans) มักอาศัยอยู่ใต้ทะเลลึกของมหาสมุทรแอนตาร์กติกเป็นอาหารของปลาทะเลและสัตว์น้ำขนาดใหญ่ แต่ในทางอุตสาหกรรมอาหารได้มีการนำคริลล์มาสกัดเป็นน้ำมันคล้ายกับการสกัดเย็นที่พบได้ในการผลิตน้ำมันปลา
น้ำมันคริลล์อุดมไปด้วยกรดไขมันโอเมกา–3 ชนิดอิสระ (Free Form of Omega–3 Fatty Acids) ซึ่งประกอบด้วยกรดไขมัน EPA และ DHA เช่นเดียวกับน้ำมันปลา อย่างไรก็ตามน้ำมันคริลล์มีความโดดเด่นที่ต่างจากน้ำมันปลาคือ โครงสร้างโอเมกา-3 ที่จับกับสารฟอสโฟลิพิด ซึ่งมักเป็นฟอสฟาติดิลโคลีน จึงทำให้ คริลล์มีสมญานามว่า Marine Lecithin นอกจากนี้ยังอุดมไปด้วยสารต้านอนุมูลอิสระสีแดงที่ชื่อ แอสตาแซนทิน (Astaxanthin) ซึ่งอยู่ในตระกูลเดียวกับไลโคปินและเบต้าแคโรทีนอีกด้วย

2.กรดไขมัน EPA & DHA
หลังจากที่กรดไขมันเข้าสู่ร่างกายแล้ว EPA จะเกี่ยวข้องกับการส่งสัญญาณของเซลล์ในเนื้อเยื่อต่างๆ มากมายไม่ว่าจะเป็นกระบวนการลดอักเสบโดยผ่านทาง Eicosanoid Complex Pathway ซึ่งช่วยลดความรุนแรงของโรคไขข้อรูมาตอยด์ นอกจากนี้ยังเกี่ยวข้องกับการลดไขมันเลว LDL และไตรกลีเซอไรด์ ซึ่งช่วยลดการสะสมของไขมันที่ผนังหลอดเลือด อันเป็นต้นเหตุสำคัญของโรคหลอดเลือดอุดตัน ขณะที่ DHA จะเกี่ยวข้องกับการพัฒนาระบบประสาทและการมองเห็นรวมทั้งชะลอความเสื่อมของระบบประสาทและสมองในผู้ใหญ่อีกด้วย

This was a doctor recommended product that I used to help PMS symptoms. It works great! I have used other fish oil supplements that left a bad aftertaste, but this product did not have any.

My first Krill oil supplement - I used to take Nordic Naturals Ultra Omega. It does have a very fishy odor, but no aftertaste. I guess it works, but haven't taken it long enough to know.

I find this works better than green lipped mussel for me. Some have mentioned that they don't like the after taste or that they belch it later and don't like the taste, however, I've never had this problem and I have a very sensitive stomach.

Have chosen to use this brand due to price and the company I like which is NOW. My only problem with it, which is unavoidable is that it smells like shrimp. There is no aftertaste nor burping with me. Just a whif when I first put it in my mouth. I would recommend this product.

I've been taking this for a few months now and like it much better than fish oils. I usually would regurgitate the fish oils but never this. This tells me that I'm digesting this and I hear that you don't need to worry about mercury poisoning with Krill Oil. My uncle owns a healthfood store and said this is the least inexpensive brand with lots of testing to back it up.
